Paris est devenu le théâtre d’une série de crimes étranges. La police s’interroge : y a-t-il un message derrière ce qui semble être des installations artistiques ? Y a-t-il une relation entre ces crimes horribles et Jean-Bernard Bonnot, galeriste et expert en œuvres contemporaines ?
Ce roman, construit comme une farce policière sur fond de fin du monde, nous plonge dans un univers insensé où l’humour tient une place importante.
Cette histoire, écrite lors de la pandémie qui obligea au confinement général, n’est pas très réaliste. Il est probable qu’elle soit le reflet d’une angoisse sous-jacente que je n’ai pas su identifier à ce moment-là. Le virus et la littérature se sont entremêlés bien souvent dans mon esprit. L’humour noir ainsi que la dérision eurent néanmoins, pour moi, valeur de vaccin.
Les amateurs de romans crieront au scandale, à la dérision, et ils auront raison. J’ai quelque peu parodié ce noble exercice en prenant une certaine liberté avec ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler une fiction bien menée, honorable et réaliste, comme le conseillent les script doctors d’aujourd’hui et autres spécialistes du genre. La meilleure preuve, les policiers dont je parle n’existent pas, l’époque est indiscernable, le vocabulaire et l’argot semblent, au mieux, celui des années 60. Disons, pour faire simple et rassurant, qu’il s’agit tout au plus d’une facétie.
Après Faussaire publié en 2015 aux éditions l’Âge d’Homme, l’auteur signe ici, avec Faux et usage de faux, le second volet d’une trilogie intitulée : Chemins vers le Réel.

This novel, constructed like a comic detective story with an apocalyptic background, plunges us into a meaningless universe where humor plays an important role.
This story, written during the pandemic which led to quarantine, is not very realistic. It is possible that it mirrors an underlying anxiety that I was unable to identify at that time. The virus and literature have often intertwined in my mind. Nevertheless, the dark humor and the derision had, for me, the value of a vaccine.
Lovers of novels will cry: « Scandal! Derision! « and they will be right. I somewhat parodied the noble process of writing by taking a certain liberty with what is known as refined, honorable and realistic fiction, as advised by today’s script doctors and other specialists in the genre. The best evidence is that the type of detective stories that I’m talking about don’t even exist. Our era is indistinguishable in the history of literature, even our vocabulary and slang seems to be thoses from the 60s.
To put it in a simple and convincing way, this story is mainly about a joke.
